The South Austin Museum of Popular Culture will be featuring Austin pop culture art dating from the
1960s through to today. Austin artists have garnered international acclaim for their influence upon
rock art beginning in the 1970's and continue to influence the contemporary global popular culture.
Additionally they continue producing art in a variety of mediums, including the quintessential Austin
art form, the music concert poster. Old and new works by these celebrities will be displayed on a
permanent basis along with periodic exhibitions including the notable contemporary Austin artists.
